What should I expect during my first massage therapy visit?
You will be asked to fill out a Client Intake/Health History Form, Client’s Intended Outcome Form and a Client Consent Form. Afterwards, I will ask you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions that need to be addressed –so as to determine which technique/massage is appropriate for you. I may perform certain assessments to evaluate your
condition and comfort zones to identify any area of discomfort.
Please think about any problem areas you'd like to have worked on, write them down if you think you might forget and please refrain from eating heavily prior to a massage.

Based upon the Initial Assessment, your massage therapy session will be designed and tailored to meet any number of indications/complaints/concerns shown below:
Enhance sports performance
Increase range of motion
Speed healing and recovery
Assist with energy flow
Decrease stress and anxiety
Must I be completely undressed?
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session.
What should I do during the massage?
During your initial intake session with the LMT, please feel free to ask any questions about the technique or concerns you have relating to existing conditions. Massage is a participatory exchange between the massage therapist and client; breathing in alignment with technique being applied is crucial to releasing toxic build-up and enables optimal benefits.
